Community Walk to Civic Center, April 29th, 2026, 6:15 pm

Join Healthy Shasta and the City of Redding for a 2-mile walk following the Safety Fair at Sequoia School – meet in front of the school’s Performing Arts Center at 6:15 pm (1805 Sequoia St, Redding). The walking route explores the new project near the Civic Center which added sidewalks and cross walks to complete the Downtown Loop, connecting the Sacramento River Trail system with downtown Redding. The walk is family friendly. Zach Bonnin, Transportation Planner with the City of Redding will talk about the project as we walk. He will also share new information about upcoming projects in the City of Redding. The walk is free, please register by Tuesday, April 28, 2026. If heavy rain occurs, the walk will be cancelled.
