Bike About Shasta Beginner Ride: Downtown Loop Trail featuring new Civic Center entrance
Meet us at the Shasta Bike Depot, 1322 California St, downtown Redding.
Before taking off on this ride, we will discuss how to do an ABC Quick Check of your bike and how to fit your helmet. This ride will take you from downtown to the Sacramento River Trail, over
the Sundial Bridge to the City of Redding’s newly completed path at the Civic Center connecting to the ‘two-way cycletrack’ – a bikeway separated from motor vehicles on the roadway starting on Butte St.
Learn how to get in and out of downtown to work, errands, or for recreation like the rodeo and Garden of Lights, or riding the world-renowned Sacramento River Trail system. Bring water, helmet, a bike in good working order and money to enjoy an ice cream treat following the ride. One lucky rider will be treated to ice cream! Ride distance: 5 miles.
