Bike About Shasta Beginner Ride –Turtle Bay to Rivercrest Park off Bechelli
May 19 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The ride will start at the monolith near the Sheraton Hotel, 844 Sundial Bridge Dr. Along the route we will experience and discuss various bicycle infrastructure to get to our destination, Rivercrest Park. We will be mostly on the roadway during this ride learning how to ride with traffic. This ride will take us on bike lanes, through quiet neighborhood streets, paths, and buffered bikeways. Chances are you will discover a street you’ve never biked on with this route. One lucky rider will win a $20 gift card to the Branch House.
This is the last ride in a series of Bike Abouts –beginner friendly rides to learn how to explore your neighborhood and community by bike. Whether you want to do a quick errand by bike, ride to school or work, or just get out to enjoy nature, these rides are for you! The rides in this series will feature safety tips for riding in traffic, let you experience the comfort of riding in a group, and familiarize you to routes that may be different from motor vehicle routes. We will provide a bike pump, so if your tires need air, come a little early. Please make sure you have a bike in good working order, bring a water bottle and helmet (required for rides). Rides will be conducted by Anna Blasco and Sara Sundquist, Certified League of American Bicyclist Instructors. All riders will be entered into a drawing for prizes. Ride will be cancelled if heavy rain. Be safe, follow the rules of the road, and have fun! Sign up for one or all of the rides here: Registration for Bike About Shasta Rides
